When I taught Chinese Mandarin to an adult learner, he told me the structure of Chinese Mandarin reminded him of a game, Lego. I think this is a very interesting discovery. Just like Lego games are built by the combination of small pieces, Chinese mandarin has similar structure in the shape of the character and grammar. Teaching and learning are always connected. I'm glad to share my knowledge by teaching and getting feedback from the learners. Teaching and learning should be a two-way communication.
I value learner's personal experiences and ideas. I think to help a learner build up a personal connection of their language learning process is very important for long-term learning and final acquisition of the target language. With my experience of these two languages and observation of your learning process, I hope you can use the target language the way you want.
Welcome to post your thoughts and ideas in my blog. Let's discuss this language learning journey together.
